Commander’s Message for Independence Day

Lt. Col. Peter E. Dargle

I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you for your  dedicated service to Our Nation. Over the past two weeks, I have been  amazed by both your individual and collective efforts in supporting Fort AP  Hill’s Mission. Additionally, you should know that your tireless service,  absolute professionalism, and noted accomplishments reverberate beyond the  dense woodline protecting the boundaries of Our Installation. Fort AP Hill
is on the move and will continue to build on its rich and proud history.  You are building a legacy of excellence that serves as Our calling card.

As we prepare for the 4th of July Celebration, you should know that your  patriotic service is Our Nation’s best defense. Our founding fathers laid  America’s foundation with the words, ideas and principles of the Declaration  of Independence, but Our Nation’s defense depends on you building upon that  foundation with your service. Your service fortifies our resolve to protect  Our basic principles of Liberty, Freedom and Equality. Your service  strengthens Our Military, Our Community, Our Nation. As we celebrate this  4th of July, let us be proud of what this day means to us. Make sure the  words, the ideas and the principles of the Declaration of Independence will  never fade. Thank you for your service. Thank you for your support.

Thank you again for your service to Fort AP Hill and Our Nation. Please
remember SAFETY in all you do and enjoy your time with Friends and Family.
